Lake City Bank Offers Theatre Discounts

Half Priced College Student Tickets
The Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres, with the generous support of Lake City Bank, is making it easier for college students to enjoy professional musical theatre by providing half priced tickets to anyone with a valid college student identification card.
This program affords students the opportunity to experience professional productions of classical Broadway musicals at the regional theatre level. Because the Nappanee theatre is located in close proximity to many of northern Indiana’s colleges and universities, including the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University/South Bend, Bethel College, Goshen College, Grace College, Ancilla, St. Francis, IUPUI/Ft. Wayne, Tri-State University, IVY Tech, Vincennes, Holy Cross Junior College, and St. Mary’s College, many students are able to take advantage of this offer, often fulfilling arts credits by their attendance. Attendees, however, come from hundreds of colleges and universities across the United States.

Free Children's Saturday Matinees
This program gives children (6 to 14) the opportunity to see Plain and Fancy for free with one paid adult admission at regular price. Holiday production Saturday matinees are not included in this program.

Lake City Bank
Lake City Bank operates over forty locations in twelve contiguous northern Indiana counties. According to Michael Kubacki, President, “Lake City Bank contributes thousands of dollars to support education, humanitarian efforts, the arts, community events, and economic growth and development. The contributions are an important part of Lake City Bank's Corporate Vision Statement goal of "...community involvement that builds values and prosperity for shareholders, customers, employees, and our communities." This association with The Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres adds another dimension to achieving this goal.”
A show ticket price for those eighteen years and older is $27.50. Through this unique initiative, students will find extraordinary value for their $12.50 portion. Seats can be reserved in advance for the entire season or show by show - performance by performance - by calling the box office at 800-800-4942 ext. 2.
Through a million-dollar restoration project the round barn was dismantled, reconstructed, and converted into a state-of-the-art theatre facility with each of its 374 seats having an excellent view of the stage. The round barn’s sixty-foot, self-supporting dome and cupola make its natural acoustics superb. Saved from destruction, the round barn found its new home at Amish Acres in 1992. Its stage is dedicated to the author of Plain and Fancy and Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph Stein. Amish Acres has become the national home of Plain and Fancy.
