While the powerful Midwest Living magazine has featured Amish Acres within its glossy pages several times during the holidays, editor in chief Dan Kaercher arrived in sunny July of 2005 to take advantage of the farm's beauty as a backdrop for his upcoming book and PBS show when he finds the best in Heartland foods. He was welcomed into our 8,000 square foot kitchen to whip up "The Best" Shoofly pie as chosen by the Chicago Tribune.
