Revitalize. Kick back. Relax. Everyone will look forward to and enjoy a fun-filled, carefree day at Amish Acres for your company picnic (200 person minimum). There is no better picnic site than the 80-acre restored farm listed in the National Register of Historic Places. T he best part is our experienced and energetic staff does all the work! You have all the fun!
Picture this: A warm summer day; the smell of our famous food wafting throughout the area. Children laughing and playing games. Your friends and coworkers competing in a volleyball or a horseshoe tournament, and refreshed cheers of victory once back to work on Monday after a deserved celebration. Our picnics are proven morale boosters and your employees leave feeling good about their workplace. Hassle-free planning means you get to sit back and enjoy the perfect day you planned.
Your package includes the following:
Bingo
Bingo is available for ages 18 and older. We will provide a caller and supplies for 2 sessions (20 games; 10 games per session.) You provide the prizes or select from our shops of merchandise beforehand. Another option: purchase Amish Acres gift certificates that winners use at their leisure for dinner, theatre, baked goods, or collectibles.
Children's Games
Children's games include Milk Bessie the Wooden Cow, Find the Needle in the Haystack, Harness Henry the Wooden Horse, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Go Fish, and Moonwalk. Also Balloon Toss, Sack Races, Hula Hoop Contest, Craft Station, and Face Painting. Amish Acres will provide a Popcorn Wagon and Swan Paddle Boats for all members in your picnic to enjoy. (Some items may carry additional charges.)
Additional Activities
Volleyball, Horseshoes, Soccer, Golf Chipping. Your company can set brackets for a competition or they can play for fun. You might also plan a raffle where lucky employees walk away with prizes you've collected from area businesses - a raffle is a good way to bring attendees back to a central location over the course of the picnic day.
Scavenger Hunt
Families search throughout the 80-acre farm looking for clues that enable them to collect answers to the questions provided on their list. We will provide 5 prizes for 5 names that will be drawn and, if answered correctly, will receive prizes provided by Amish Acres.
Access to Amish Acres Historic Farm
At registration under the pavilion, your employees and their families will receive a stamp that gives them access to Amish Acres Historic Farm and Shops. For convenience, the activity locations and shops are listed on the picnic map received at registration. The Guided House and Farm Tour is a great way to learn about the Amish society. Domestic demonstrations of crafts such as quilting, broom making, and lye soap making take place along the way. Three documentary films are shown in the Locke Township Meeting House throughout the day explaining whys and ways of the Amish, one of the films, Bonnets & Britches, especially for children.
Farm Wagon Ride
Farm wagon rides are available to your employees and their families throughout the day of your picnic. The ride will begin at a central location close to the picnic area and continue down the long lane and into the picturesque woods.
Game and Door Prizes
All game prizes and door prizes (except for the Scavenger Hunt) are the responsibility of the company. Gift Certificates and fun novelties for prizes can be purchased from Amish Acres in advance.
Buffet Menu
Your delicious lunch will be served with Hoosier hospitality and include the following: Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Fresh Fruit, Rolls and Butter, Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Water. You will also choose two selections: Broasted Chicken, Hot Dogs, Fresh Pulled Pork, Sausage.
Dinner Service
Amish Acres supplies the disposable dishware, utensils, and napkins. A dining area will be set up underneath a tent, and tables supplied by Amish Acres will be set to accommodate your group size. The food is presented buffet style. Lemonade, Iced Tea and Water will be available throughout the day.
Sound System
Available in the gazebo for your special announcements throughout the day.
Amish Acres
Will create a customized event website for each client free of charge.
We can also provide invitations and reply cards as well as posters and emails at an additional cost to promote your plans and generate high attendance. Requires a final count seven (7) business days before the scheduled event. From this count the 90% guarantee applies. Any changes after three (3) days prior to your event will require 100% payment. Payment must be made in full the day before the event. Tax and Gratuity are included.
