Lenore Pletcher,
co-founder of Amish Acres dies at 89

Lenore Pletcher, wife of LaVern and mother of Richard and Jacqueline, has died after a brief illness on August 27, 2004, the birthday of one of her grandchildren. Her career as an interior designer, entrepreneur, business woman, and booster of Nappanee, spanned nearly 40 years. She was a wonderful mother, mentor, inspiration, and cheerleader for me, my sister, Jackie, and hundreds of employees and associates. She will be missed but her legacy is firmly entrenched here at Amish Acres, said Richard Pletcher, Founder/CEO.
