School Group Tours
Area Schools plan old fashioned field trips to Amish Acres for the educational and cultural experiences of the Restored Farmstead and Round Barn Theatre.
School buses bring classes from near and far for seasonal tours, dinners, and Theatre for Young Audiences. Amish Acres' greeters help organize and review itineraries with teachers during their visit. Use the School field trip activities planner to make your visit easy and simple.
Because Amish Acres is the only Old Order Amish farm listed in the National Register of Historic Places, it is the one authentic place where teachers can bring students to learn first hand from the architecture, husbandry, farming techniques, traditional food, and historic interpretation presented on the farm by guides through planned programs. The contrast between visiting students' lives and the ongoing lives of the Old Order Amish can be seen vividly, touched, smelled, and experienced in an educational and entertaining setting. Call Angela Moerchen, 800-800-4942 ext. 213 or email AmishAcres@AmishAcres.com for information and reservations.
