A New Yorker and his sophisticated girlfriend drive down around Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to sell a piece of property. Here they meet Amish folk, whose convoluted English speech, clothes and habits haven't changed for centuries. The clash of cultures educates and entertains at the same time in this quaint musical comedy. It was the first Broadway show for both composer Albert Hague and author Joseph Stein who each went on, respectively, to win Tony awards for Redhead and Fiddler On The Roof. The Round Barn Theatre has become the national home of this 1955 Broadway hit. This 2016 production marks the 30th anniversary year that The Round Barn Theatre has produced Plain and Fancy making it one of the longest running shows anywhere.

Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail

Amish Acres Quilt Mural is featured on the Greeting Barn to welcome visitors to the farm from May 29 - October 1. It celebrates the Blue Bird Thing featured in Plain and Fancy on The Round Barn Theatre stage. It is part of the Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail. More than a million vibrant blooms, 20 gigantic gardens and 21 hand-painted super-sized murals, sevem welcoming communities.

The Quilt Gardens... along the Heritage Trail joins quilting, gardening and art into a one-of-a-kind event. A colorful patchwork of quilt inspired gardens and quilt-themed murals linked by the roads that form the Heritage Trail. Every quilt garden and quilt mural has its own intricate pattern, many are original designs, and each has its own unique story. Guys and Dolls

Guys and Dolls is a musical based on short stories by Damon Runyon. The band members of the Save-a-Soul Mission, led by the pious and beautiful Sergeant Sarah Brown, call for sinners to "Follow the Fold" and repent. Petty gambler Nathan Detroit, runs an illegal floating crap game. Detroit enters into a bet with Sky Masterson in the hopes of continuing his game “under” the law. “A Bushel and a Peck,” “If I Were a Bell,” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” are all-time musical theatre standards that are always hard to get out of your head.

Scarecrow Contest and Reunion

It takes 100 Scarecrows to return to the farm for their annual reunion to stand guard along the lane as the hay wagon hauls kids to the Pumpkin Patch during Fall Harvest Days at Amish Acres. Lining the lane, these creative creations come from far and wide as individuals, families, friends and groups of all kinds compete for $1,560.00 in cash and other prizes. Winners are selected by the votes of the visitors, so tell all of your friends to come and vote.

The Mousetrap

Disney's The Little Mermaid

Based on the Hans Christian Andersen, and the Disney film of the same name, a Mermaid Princess makes a Faustian bargain with an unscrupulous sea-witch in order to meet a human prince on land. The Little Mermaid opened on Broadway in 2008, where it ran for 685 performances on its way to the Tony Award for Best Original Score and Drama Desk for its star, Sierra Boggess.
