Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving
As an antidote to the insanity of Black Friday, Amish Acres offers the alternative
Amish Acres shoppers on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28 and 29, 2008, from 11:00 am till 5:00 pm, will receive a free basket to fill with gifts from our 7 unique shops and all of the trimming necessary to decorate it, wrap it and finish it off with a bow and customized gift card. Serious shoppers can complete their entire shopping list in one day and walk away with the satisfaction of knowing their gifts are unique and carefully chosen and wrapped.
Shoppers are encouraged to shop in the Bakery, Meat & Cheese Shop, Fudgery, Greeting Barn, Christmas Shop, Garden Shop, Cow Shed, and The Inn at Amish Acres Gift Shop.
Everything from breads, cookies, jams & jellies, meats & cheeses, Amish dolls, even quilts can be fit into gift baskets from Amish Acres. A full array of gift certificates for lodging, musical theatre packages, 2009 Season tickets, and Country Packages will be available.
A minimum combined purchase of $25 will qualify for the free basket and wrapping. Each additional basket will cost $5. Total purchases over $50 will receive 10% discount, $100 and over 20%. Discounts are not available on consignment items.
Arrangements can be made to have the finished baskets shipped on specific dates by Amish Acres via UPS or Fedex. Any baskets to be shipped containing fresh baked goods will have products baked on the same day as shipment.
The Gift Basket Workshop will be set up in the Blue Room. Wrapping assistants will provide an assortment of baskets and sizes, bedding, complimentary hard candy, cellophane in plain and several patterns, an assortment of ribbons, and a selection of cards.
Boxes and packing materials are available for shipping at an additional charge.
Home Made Christmas Workshops
There will be free workshops throughout Amish Acres buildings that will focus on ideas and techniques to make Christmas wrapping paper, holiday cards, handmade ornaments, and yarn snowmen.
