Each Fall Scarecrows from across Northern Indiana gather for their annual Haunting Reunion at Amish Acres. And the chance to win $1,000 in cash prizes is a highlight of the event.

You may enter in either the group or individual category in which there will be a $300 1st prize, a $150 2nd prize, and a $50 3rd prize.
So don't be scared! Fill in the Scarecrow Reunion Contest Entry Form and bring your life size, self standing scarecrow to The Round Barn Theatre Lobby at Amish Acres, 1600 West Market Street (U.S. 6), Nappanee, Indiana by October 7th.
From the imaginatively wild to the wonderfully whimsical, cleverly crafted hand-made scarecrows will be cropping up at Amish Acres Historic Farm & Heritage Resort during their Fall Harvest Days celebration from September 19 through October 31. Entering a scarecrow is open to all with no fee to enter the contest. Schools, Churches, local residents, businesses, civic groups—anyone and everyone are encouraged to enter their own scarecrow creation. Let your imagination go wild and compete for $1,000 in prize money. Visitors will come from near and far to see the scarecrows “budding up all over” and to vote for their favorite.
The scarecrow contest is a chance for everybody to get into the spirit of the season and share their creativity. There are two categories from which scarecrows will be judged; a group category and an individual category. There is a $300 1st prize, a $150 second prize and a $50 3rd prize in both categories. Scarecrow contest winners will be chosen by popular vote of all who attend the festival. Ballots will be available in The Round Barn Theatre Lobby. Each entry should be named and Fall Harvest Days visitors can view and vote for their favorite. Ballots will be tallied on November 1st and winners will be notified immediately following. Scarecrows must be self standing, life size, and resilient with all accessories securely attached, as they will remain outside through the end of Fall Harvest Days.
Entry forms and contest rules are available in The Round Barn Theatre Lobby at Amish Acres, 1600 West Market Street (U.S. 6), Nappanee, Indiana or on line at AmishAcres.com. Scarecrow creations should be completed and submitted no later than September 17, 2008.
